A great addition to any reef tank, these crabs have been known to take up residence in anemones such as the genus of Condylactis. Porcelain Crabs scavenge for excess meaty foods and both keep them from spoiling the water and provide a secondary food source for anemones that through their symbiotic relationship with the Porcelain Crab receive the leftover morsels.
They have very large front claws which they use to fend off potential predators. They hold large, net like appendages out to filter feed. Anemone porcelain crabs may look delicate but they have their own sort of armor: a hard exoskeleton.
Any invading species will often drive them away, meaning this crab functions much more as prey than predator.
They live under rocks and boulders on rocky shores - though they can be hard to spot as their brown hairy bodies are well camouflaged.

What really sets these crabs apart from the rest is their smaller, feeding arms. Porcelain crabs are know to be filter feeders, which means they filter food for plankton in a very elegant way.

Coconut crab, (Birgus latro), also called robber crab, large nocturnal land crab of the southwest Pacific and Indian oceans. They have an extra pair of fan-shaped arms for this which they constantly hold up against the flow.
